Cotton District Arts Festival Taste of Starkville Winners

The Eat With Us Group, the umbrella organization that owns Harveys, Jackson Square Grill, Cotton District Grill, Fairpark Grill, Sweet Peppers Deli, Bulldog Deli and Park Heights, is proud to announce that four of the Eat With Us concepts won awards at the Taste of Starkville event.

The Starkville Area Arts Council coordinated the 14th annual Cotton District Arts Festival and Taste of Starkville which is always held the third Saturday in April. This year’s crowd was bigger than ever with twenty-eight thousand people in attendance. Super Bulldog Weekend, Mississippi State University’s Spring Homecoming, was held the same weekend.

Not only were the Eat With Us restaurants packed with visitors; but, the food booths were visited frequently. Among those visitors were the Taste of Starkville judges escorted by the Greater Starkville Development Partnership tourism representatives. Harveys won second place Overall for the Best Gourmet Kabobs and Best Presentation. Bulldog Deli won the Best Deli Sandwich for the Greek Chicken Pita. The Cotton District Grill won the Most Likely For Seconds award for their sliders. Lastly, Sweet Peppers Deli won Most Popular Wrap for their Club Wrap.

In the Cotton District Arts Festival’s annual Server Race, Harveys took the trophy home for the 4th time out of six years. The Traveling Trophy is back at home in the bar area at Harveys. The other two wins belong to the Veranda restaurant.
