Sweet Peppers Deli Commercial Wins International Recognition

COLUMBUS, MS—A Sweet Peppers Deli television commercial featuring customers in Mississippi has won a 2010 Telly Award.

The ad, entitled “Pick Peppers,” shows patrons attempting a tongue twister that is a play on the traditional “Peter Piper.”

“It shows real customers, laughing and having a good time,” observes Arma delaCruz Salazar, director of marketing for Sweet Peppers.  “We wanted them to be featured because they’re our priority.  Our motto at Sweet Peppers is ‘Making People Happy,’ which we accomplish with quality food and service and a friendly atmosphere.  That all comes through in this commercial.”

The Telly was awarded to Starkville, MS-based video production company Broadcast Media Group, Inc., which produced the ad for West Point, MS-based advertising agency Quest Group on behalf of Sweet Peppers Franchise Systems, LLC.

“Working with two great companies like Sweet Peppers and Quest made this a great project,” remarks Broadcast Media Group president Robbie Coblentz.  “The creativity and team effort helped make this spot shine.”

”The ‘Pick Peppers’ commercial was the most fun we have experienced on a video shoot,” adds Salazar.  “Partnering with Broadcast Media and Quest Group produced a branding commercial that is one of the major factors in increasing our sales.”
